Tuna and Horseradish Pate

Tuna and Horseradish Pate

Shop bought pâtés are so full of butter and cream and for those of us on our weightloss journey can be pretty devastating also. I have made this before, I made a huge amount. took it to a taster session at my local slimming group and it was devoured in an instant! It’s really nice. Feel free to play about with the flavours – if you aren’t a fan of horseradish leave it out. Maybe add some mixed finely diced chopped peppers to give it a crunch. That’s what I love – experimenting!
2 tins tuna drained

1 small pot fat free greek yoghurt

2 tbsp lemon juice

1 heaped tsp capers drained

2 tsp horseradish

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp parsley

Pinch of paprika

Method

Blitz spring onion, lemon juice, parsley, olive oil, capers and paprika, add tuna, horseradish and yoghurt. Blitz until smooth. Season to taste and add a little sweetener if required. Cover and chill in fridge. Eat within 3 days

Serve with Crispbread, toast, crudités, or in a wrap with mixed salad leaves
